At Auteur Image Studio, we believe filmmaking is a collective art form — a blend of vision, craft, and collaboration. Founded by two filmmakers with diverse backgrounds and a shared passion for bold storytelling, our team is driven by curiosity, creativity, and the desire to leave behind meaningful work.
Ryan Duan – Co-Founder/ Producer
Ryan is a Vancouver-based filmmaker whose journey began on stage and in music before finding its true form in cinema. Trained at Vancouver Film School, Ryan has directed and produced shorts and features that blend striking visuals with human connection. His work, including Undeveloped (Crazy8s 2022), Unprofessional (2023), Lucid (2025) and The Last Trace (2026), explores the tension between isolation and belonging, imagination and reality.
Tyler Twiss – Co-Founder / Producer/Writer/Director
Tyler is a producer with a sharp eye for both story and logistics, ensuring that Auteur Image Studio’s projects balance artistic ambition with practical execution. His producing credits include Cake (2021), Undeveloped (Crazy8s 2022), The Last Trace (2024) and more.
Yuki Gong – Line Producer
Yuki is a Vancouver-based executive producer with experience spanning film, television, and commercials. Her credits include Hard Bones (BIFAN XL, Shangshi New Power Award), the iQIYI series Let’s Shoot!, and acclaimed features such as Long Day’s Journey Into Night (Cannes, Golden Horse Awards) and The Looming Storm (Tokyo International Film Festival). She has also overseen campaigns for brands like Dior and China Construction Bank. At Auteur Image Studio, Yuki lends her global perspective and production expertise to projects such as The Last Trace (2024).
Ramsey Fendall
Ramsey is an award-nominated cinematographer and co-founder of Room 5 Films with over 15 years of experience in features, shorts, and documentaries. His credits include Seymour: An Introduction (dir. Ethan Hawke), Major Arcana, and Lucid (Leo Award nomination). As DOP of The Last Trace (2024), Ramsey brought layered lighting and precise visual storytelling that define his signature style.
Emanuel Foucault – Director | Producer | Editor
Emanuel is an French Canadian independent filmmaker and Director of Day 3 Film, working across directing, producing, and editing. His credits include the feature Lucid and the indie film Washer and many more. Known for blending distinctive visual style with layered storytelling, Emanuel is also active on social media, where he shares behind-the-scenes insights and creative journeys in filmmaking.
Arm Pagorn-Associate producer
Arm is an associate producer with a strong background in coordinating independent film productions and supporting creative teams through all stages of development and delivery. Passionate about genre storytelling and cross-cultural collaboration, he has contributed to projects that range from short films to international co-productions. At Auteur Image Studio, Arm provides vital support in logistics, communications, and on-the-ground production, helping ensure each project runs smoothly while staying true to its artistic vision.
Deanna Milligan – Casting Director | Acting Coach | Actor | Filmmaker
Deanna is a veteran actor and filmmaker with over 30 years of experience in film and television. Beginning her career as a child actor in Danger Bay (1986–1989), she went on to appear in acclaimed productions such as This Boy’s Life (1993, opposite Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio), 21 Jump Street (with Johnny Depp), and The X-Files (1995). More recently, she produced and performed in Lucid (2021).
