Auteur Image Studio

Founded in 2022 by filmmakers Ryan Duan and Tyler Twiss, Auteur Image Studio is a Vancouver-based production company dedicated to bold, visionary storytelling.

From our first short film Undeveloped (a 2022 Crazy8s Vancouver selection) to our original sci-fi short The Last Trace (2024, in postproduction), we have consistently pursued projects that push artistic and emotional boundaries.

We are drawn to genre cinema—sci-fi, horror, thriller, crime and other worlds at the edges of imagination—because these stories allow us to ask deeper questions about humanity, identity, and connection. Every project we take on is an opportunity to blend striking visuals with resonant themes that stay with audiences long after the credits roll.
